Procreate for iPad

Procreate for iPad is a digital and drawing application with the best illustration features. Procreate looks pretty similar to Sketchbook Pro and both these applications have convincing simulations of real-life paintings techniques. But what makes this app stand out is that it’s the first app to focus specifically on making the iPad a drawing and painting tablet.

Procreate is a sophisticated application and required additional functionality and refinement after release. Recently the app making company Savage Interactive released their first patch which has refined the color picker, and added features, such as a 45-degree rotation and x & y-axis flip. The application also boasts a myriad of desktop quality tools, such as brushes, layers and pallets.

Procreate uses advanced OpenGL Silica painting engine which has been made exclusively for the iPad. It helps the application to use the GPU (graphical processing unit) to the maximum which results in obtaining an unparalled performance on a mobile device. Procreate uses 64-bit colour sampling to mix paint together effortlessly. The smudge inside is finely tuned to react differently by adjusting the precision pressure slider, which means more the pressure you apply, the more colour will be pushed around.
